This area previously had open shelves and an exposed washer and dryer located just off the kitchen and dining rooms.  The shelving was converted to cabinets featuring recessed cherry panel doors.  Underneath are one-of-a-kind engineered doors that fold into themselves to use the washer or dryer. 

Discreet lighting was installed on the sides of the upper cabinets and underneath to light up the washer and dryer, perfect for late night laundering!  

This was part of a two-family house where I renovated an entire floor, aside from the kitchen floor.  Every piece of molding, including sills and aprons, circa 1920s was replaced with clear coated, new, knotty pine.  The homeowners wanted a one-of-a-kind look for their trim so I used fluted molding and rosettes that were store bought, and added my own custom milled trim.

We removed half the ceiling in this kitchen remodel.  The built-in cabinet previously was an exterior access door.  

Once a flat drywall ceiling, the homeowners wanted it opened up, and the roof joists covered with ripped cuts of plywood featuring a remote controlled ceiling fan.

In addition to crown molding that u's around half the kitchen, wood was added to the top of the crown making it a display shelf.

This living room is accented with two L-shaped shelving units that end into the sides of the fireplace chimney.  A walnut stained, 5-piece molding supports the shelving, which includes accent lighting, controlled by a wall switch.

Shelving includes five pieces of trim and runs along both sides of the living room.

This backsplash is trimmed out with solid cherry wood to match the pre-fabricated cherry cabinetry, featuring imported ceramic tile highlights from Spain, and finished with a sea green grout color.  This was a complete kitchen remodel.  The sink, originally located where the stove now is, was moved to the corner of the kitchen of existing windows.  

Prefab cherry cabinets were installed with a custom, seamless, laminated counter top.  The flooring is imported Italian 13"x13" ceramic tile.

This made-to-order backsplash, featuring fabricated stainless steel, was added to a recently renovated kitchen.  

Out of date now, but this was a fully encased [55"] big screen TV.  The only parts exposed were the screen itself and the black speaker cloth.  Even the plastic casing that frames the TV was meticulously encased.  The "feel" of it was that you were looking at a framed art piece of art as you watched TV. 

The blinds were store bought but they matched perfectly the premium mixed with knotty pine to make a 5' high loft bed, radiator cover, and entertainment center that stands at a lofty 8 1/2' tall.  As with the other big screen TV, great care was taken not to have any plastic housing of this 42" big screen showing.  An oblong oval was routered out for the control panel below the screen and below that, only black speaker cloth is visible.  Under the TV features two smoked glass doors utilizing concealed pivot hardware and push-to-open/close magnetic closure hardware.

This piece was made to exact homeowner specifications, featuring adjustable shelving to hold shoes as you enter the front door of the house.  Made entirely of premium pine wood, the stain for this armoire was custom mixed using three different red-based stains to give a rich and luxurious look and feel.  The stile and rails use a long tongue and groove joint, offering a lifetime of durable use.  The raised panels are glue up strips pf premium pine routered with a 3 1/2" bit.  The only part that was not milled by Artisan Building Services is the crown molding that graces the top of this breathtaking piece of furniture.

This 8' tall armoire features solid, premium pine, raised panel doors.  The panels that run nearly the full height of the armoire, really accentuate this piece.  

This job was for a Manhattan apartment on the 2nd floor.  The owner of the apartment below this unit had been seeing water dripping down intermittently for a few weeks but by the way this subfloor was rotted through, water must have been leaking between the shower and bathroom tiles for solid year!  The subfloor was so worn through in some spots you could push through it with little pressure from your hand.  Tiles around and on the shower step were replaced in addition to shoring up the bathroom floor with floor joists, a new subfloor, and spare tiles (always keep extra!).  This is an example of a very small but very involved job.  

Whenever you see a contractor with quality rough-in work, rest assured, you will have a quality job when they finish!

This picture is meant to show the quality that goes into every job that Artisan Building Services does.  This is a close-up of bathtub wall tile cut and placed so well, it really does not get any better than this.

This was an interesting job.  The homeowners had gotten back from Italy, showing me pictures of centuries old walls in Italy.  There was nothing wrong with the brick itself on the walls of their back patio but they wanted to mimic what they saw in Italy.  A starting point was established just right of the back door and the "new old wall" turns the corner to the left (off camera).
